License as Tax Consultant in 1990 and as vBP in 2005. The legal job title "Steuerberater" (Tax Consultant) was conferred in the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal State Bavaria).

Assistant Professor at the Institute for Taxation and Auditing of Prof. Dr. J. Sigloch , University of Bayreuth, 1984 - 1990. Lecturership for International Finance at Aston University, Birmingham, 1986 - 1991

Professor for Taxation and Finance at the University of Applied Sciences, Constance, since 1993.

Author of "Taxation regarding private Housing - an economic analysis of alternative tax structures" in 1990. “Reform of Inheritance tax 2009 – Influences on Company’ Succession” in Henselmann, K. et al (ed.). Tax and Accounting, 2009 as well as several publications on tax issues.

Member of the Economic Research Centre for questions from the medium sized economy at the University of Bayreuth (BF/M e.V.) and of the Chamber of Tax Consultants and Chamber of Auditors, as well as of the Institute for Auditors in Germany, Member of Advisory Board Germany of the CDU.
